Since 2010, Bipolar has been working with artists who are concerned about contemporary technological and scientific issues.
In 2019, Bipolar has produced a monumental travelling exhibition on the Rhône and Saône rivers. Both an artistic project and a public action to raise awareness of flood risk, BigTorrent was an unusual experience of the river, to be lived through immersive digital installations, accompanied by digital mediation tools.
On this occasion, I worked with Bipolar to support the creation of the original artwork O.R.S. (“Orbital River Station”) by the art collective HeHe. My role was to liaise with the artists in order to estimate the technical feasibility of the work, identify the right fluvial construction process, manage the production and delivery from our partners - with the overall goal to reach the best possible artistic output within tight schedule and budget frames. The task was especially challenging considering that the Rhône is most powerful river in Europe. The work was premiered at the 2019 Festival d’Avignon and has been travelling since then.
